Correction about Johnathan eating non bleed meat , and King Saul set to kill him . Johnathan saw honey and partake of it , not knowing of his Fathers decree , others ate meat which they did not drain the blood , ALL THE PEOPLE SPOKE UP FOR JOHNATHAN thus saving him from death , all that is said regarding the meat that was eaten , without draining the blood was that the men should bring their animal to a certain area and do things properly , there doesn't appear to have been any penalty imposed upon any for this . 1ST SAMUEL ch 14

The Watchtower are Right About Blood...
by cofty in... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.
they take pride in obedience.

When you were Hard-Core JW, did Opponents Screaming or Filming you help your Exit?

i had many clues they were lying about our religion but i failed to see through them because of the pain of admitting we got conned and family pressure from peers stopped me from making a courageous choice.
when i read about people who confronted the elders and won their judicial committees (even though the jw elders df'ed them) my heart goes out to their courage, their amazingly stronger than i will ever be.

I must make a correction , I previously said , I never did believe it was the TRUTH , over time that teaching did become part of my belief , and it has taken quite some time to get over it , there are literal tracks that develop in your mind which hold certain beliefs , and it takes a while to really sort through things , throw out the bad and keep the good .

Old Friends of Ocala and Gainesville
by william draper injust wondering from amongst my old friends , who has managed to realize that the jehovah witnesses do not have attachedthat so called truth , while one of my books supports one of their primary doctrines i have written another book from my handwritten notations of more than 500 scriptures , which really opened my eyes to how they are able to bend around certain scriptures , without fully considering , such along with others , using a certain type of formatted reasoning to support some doctrinal issues which have merit , yet refusing to use the same kind of reasoning when you have scriptural content which demands such , but it goes against the tradition of the org , so they use some of the most bizzare reasoning to jus support the status quo .. my first book is called 500 scriptures against the trinity doctrine , based upon handwritten notations of more than 500 scriptures .
think about this , this should have been a book written long ago , there being so many at bethel with supposedly much more of gods spirit than myself .
this should be like their book we , but it is surely hidden amongst those that have it .

I never believed it was the Truth they claimed it to be , although zealous , aux pioneering , going to ALL meetings ,etc. . . I just thought it was the best place to be , but when I started seeing just gross negligence of all sorts , I thought I better step out and re evaluate my position , starting to really ramp up my Bible reading I began to see things like never before , even though being one of Jw for 25 years , how could I have been glossing over all these scriptures for so long . -

Why are they always asking me if I am a BROTHER , I m not wearing a dress am I ? Sorry my life doesn't allow me to get all dressed up all the time . So they looked down on me at every meeting I went to during the last few years , I mean if you can always be dressing up like that ,you ain't facing much persecution -

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

The thoughts of suicide we're mostly only a part of my life when I was amongst Jws , my life outside of the ORG has been of little resemblance regarding this aspect , I feel better about myself mostly because I became more courageous in life , and began having a better understanding of what really can and can not be discerned by use of certain scriptures .
